Free® Maximum Strength provides an
economical alternative to Flex Free Original Formula when
feeding conditions can be well controled. This purified
chondroitin sulfate powder is fed in very small amounts.
One-half scoop supplies approximately 1750 mg chondroitin
sulfaates, the same natural body lubricants used in Flex
Free® Original Formula.
Natural
Body Lubricant Chondroitin
sulfates are members of the family of natural body
lubricants known as glycosaminoglycans, or GAGs. They are
produced in the bodies of horses, humans, and most other
animals. As crucial elements of connective tissue and
structural cartilage, chondroitin sulfates are involved in
the bonding of collagen fibers and the retention of moisture
in the cartilage tissue. Chondroitin sulfates are also found
in the skin, blood vessels, and other types of connective
tissue. Flex Free® Maximum Strength
works to replenish these valuable nutrients throughout your
horse's body.
Are
Chondroitin Sulfates Absorbable? Studies
over the past 40 years in Japan, the US and Europe have
clearly shown that chondroitin sulfates can be absorbed in
intact, biologically active form following oral
administration. Using a variety of techniques with
laboratory animals, dogs, and humans, researchers have found
that up to 40% of dietary chondroitin sulfates can be
absorbed into the bloodstream.
Recommended
Feeding Feed ½ scoop twice daily
for 3 to 4 weeks. Reduce to 1/2 scoop daily for maintenance.
To assure economical use, measure accurately and blend
thoroughly with feed. Increase feeding of large breeds
proportionately according to body weight in excess of 1,000
pounds. Excellent companion products include Vita Flex®
