Healex was developed specifically to
cure cracked heels incurred during early spring training on
partly frozen tracks. To make matters worse, most of the
tracks had calcium chloride worked into them to help prevent
freezing. Cracked heels are the most difficult of all
abrasions to cure, especially with calcium chloride present.
