Santoprene (The Future)
Large nubs maintain integrity up to 277ºF and won’t
become brittle to -77ºF.
Semi Pourus surface allows repellants and oils to be applied
and transfer to animals.
It’s soft grip material that you find on hair brushes and
baby toys in a more durable version. It won’t crack or get
brittle and deteriorate during winter because it stays
pliable. Also, because it has a semi-porous surface you
spray it with fly repellant on there or apply flea and tick
powder and that will transfer onto the animal when they rub
it. It’s a complete self grooming tool providing safety
and protection for your animals. You’ll have peace of mind
knowing your animal is rubbing on something safe, not your
barn, fences, or stalls.
All Itchin Post are available in a varaity of colors:
The reason for the colors is a new study by the U of Madison
Wisconsin discovered that horses see yellows and blues
dominantly. This will help in attracting the animal to the
new product, because they will investigate it. Especially if
you rub it on them a little before you mount it.
Why would I need a bunch?
Because, that will give you five or six to mount on a post
in the pasture, you can put one or two in each stall, and
use a couple to temporarily cover up an unsafe surface.
What you want to do is mount this on a post in the pasture
(stall or barn) with two feet into the ground with concrete
so it’s sturdy enough for your animals to put their weight
against. Wrap these around from top to bottom so the animal
can scratch their head, neck, shoulders, hind quarters, legs
– even that spot at the end of the tail that’s hard to
get to, it WON'T rip out the tail hair.
Itchin' Post pads can be arranged in a variety of ways on
just about any sturdy surface including pens, feeding
troughs, fences, and walls. Pads can be mounted flat or
wrapped around corners and posts as well.
